Ambient Occlusion con GPU en Mental Ray

 

 

Los desarrolladores de Mental Ray comparten un proyecto en el que han estado trabajando durante los últimos meses, para implementar funciones para la simulación de Ambient Occlusion en tiempo real, mediante el uso de GPU.

La presentación incluye ejemplos para aplicación de distintos tipos de filtro para Antialiasing, además de la posibilidad de renderizar de manera interactiva decenas de millones de objetos, aparentemente sin mucho lag.
